City of Good Hope

The council meeting was called to order and subsequently adjourned, with no other legislative or administrative business items transacted during the session.

The meeting addressed the approval of the December 8, 2025 minutes and included the passage of two resolutions. Resolution No. 008-2026 was passed for the annual agreement with AirMed Evac services. Resolution No. 009-2026 was passed to close out the ADECA Sewer Grant for Supersaver Rd.

Key discussions during the regular meeting included the approval of the December 2025 financials. Business addressed through resolutions and ordinances involved suspending the rules for reading Ordinance No. 004-2026, approving the Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday for the third weekend in July, set to expire in October 2029, and amending the YE 26 budget to reflect the declination of the TAPNU Sidewalk Grant, resulting in a $250,000.00 credit and zeroing out associated revenue and expense accounts.

The meeting included the presentation of a Proclamation for Human Trafficking Awareness. Key actions taken by the Council included the approval of the November Comparative Financial Statement and the Audited Financial Statement for the period ending September 30, 2025. Additionally, the Council approved to surplus three Gravely Lawn Mowers, designating two for sale on Gov Deals and one for donation to Good Hope High School. Change Order #3 for the Multi-use Storm Shelter/Community Center, amounting to $5,577.00 for CEC Relocation of Line, was also approved for payment out of the General Fund.
