The scope is for an annual rate to provide Athletic Training Services. ATS will include medical supervision within the scope of practice of a licensed athletic trainer including: (i) initial injury assessment; (ii) treatment recommendations and consultation; and (iii) preventative taping and strengthening/flexibility program recommendations. The Athletic Trainer will provide emergency care, first-aid care, evaluation of injury, and provision of immediate Athletic Training Services to persons whose conditions are within the professional preparation and education of a licensed athletic trainer. This does not include injury rehabilitation and therapeutic exercise for injuries beyond the initial immediate athletic training evaluation of injuries which occur at the College-sponsored athletic events. The Athletic Trainer will document injuries sustained by
student-athletes and recommend, as necessary, a treatment regimen. In addition, the Athletic Trainer will recommend, as necessary, that the student-athlete seek treatment from appropriate medical personnel.
