Generating station unit 8 recycled water cooling system retrofit.
AvailableThis project will disconnect existing storm drain outfalls from the piped portion of the No. 1 Canyon Drain (NOCD) system located in Pershing Street between Springwater Avenue and Maple Street and improve stormwater controls with a collective of replacement storm drainage systems and roadway infrastructure repairs. Work will include the installation of a combined 2,037 LF of 12", 18", and 24" corrugated polyethylene pipe (CPEP) connected by 24 pre-cast concrete catch basins of various sizes. The project includes 642 LF of gravel infiltration trenches of differing widths and sizes of perforated CPEP. Four (4) premanufactured water quality filtration catch basins will be installed off-line to treat surface runoff directly prior to release to the new drainage systems. The base project also includes approximately 1,433 LF of 8" ductile iron water main replacement is also included in the work for this project. The NOCD within the subject area is a combination of 36-inch diameter CPEP and 48" corrugated metal pipe (CMP). An alternative additive project scope of work has been identified and may be included in the final contract to remove and replace two (2) approximately 30 LF damaged portions of 36" CPEP and to install a new cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) liner over approximately 1,066 LF of the existing 48" CMP portion of the NOCD.
