Summary
The Project includes the following Work: A new chemical feed building, STR 50, will be constructed at the wastewater treatment facility. This structure is an approximately 10-ft by 10-ft wood frame, metal exterior building to be constructed on a concrete slab with frost footings and with a concrete stoop. A concrete slab is to be constructed at the building to accommodate a chemical storage tank. The building is to be interiorly finished with drywall and exteriorly finished with metal siding. A metal roof is to be placed on the structure. Within the building, a chemical feed pump skid, an emergency eyewash and shower, an automatic composite sampler, and a heating unit are to be placed. All associated electrical equipment is to be installed. A gravel pull-off is to be constructed for loading of the chemical storage tank that is tied-in to the re-graveled access road at the wastewater treatment facility. A new effluent pumping station, STR 60, will also be constructed near this building. This structure is a 16-ft deep FRP combined valve vault and wet well. The structure is to house two (2) submersible pumps with associated ductile iron valving and piping. A pH sensor to be interlocked with the chemical feed skid is to be installed in the wet well. Associated electrical equipment is to be installed in the FRP structure. An approximately 5,000 linear foot, 6" HDPE forcemain is to be constructed from the effluent pumping station to the new outfall for the wastewater treatment facility on the Nemadji River. Passive air release stacks will be installed along the forcemain route. The majority of the forcemain will be installed via horizontal directional drilling. However, forcemain runs underneath the two rail lines and State Highway 35 will be installed via jack and bore. A 16", steel casing pipe will be installed around the forcemain runs beneath the rail lines. Other work associated with the project includes electrical upgrades to the main lift station building and associated emergency generator (STR 10), process piping and structural upgrades to the influent manhole (STR 11), main lift station wet well (STR 12), main lift station valve vault (STR 13), influent flow metering chamber (STR 14), and existing outfall flow metering chamber (STR 14).
