Summary
Work includes phase i: surface preparation & power washing , protection of property: before washing, the contractor shall mask and protect all windows, doors, electrical conduits, hvac units, light fixtures, signage, landscaping, and adjacent vehicles from water intrusion and chemical overspray, cleaning method: high-pressure power washing shall be used to remove all dirt, grime, atmospheric staining, mold, mildew, and efflorescence, pressure/temperature control: water pressure must be strictly regulated to prevent damage to historic or aging brick and concrete, hot water/steam may be used if required to lift stubborn contaminants, chemical cleaners: if chemical cleaning agents or efflorescence removers are required, they must be biodegradable, non-acidic (unless approved for specific masonry types), and thoroughly rinsed away to leave no residue.
