The U.S. Army Contracting Command – Rock Island, on behalf of the U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command (USAMRDC), issued a Sources Sought to identify qualified sources to operate and maintain a Government-Owned, Contractor-Operated medical waste incinerator at Fort Detrick, MD, capable of processing RMW from BSL-2/3/4 labs. The contractor will provide incinerator operation and process control, ash management and disposal, air pollution control maintenance, preventive/corrective maintenance, security, environmental monitoring, and emergency biohazard response; the anticipated contract will begin mid-2027 once construction is complete. The notice requests industry capability statements and includes an Industry Expertise document; SAM.gov shows a draft PWS was posted (industry feedback requested).
