Replacing the low flow and wet well gates at Lake. Remove existing ladder in the north and south wet well. Remove and dispose existing low flow gate. Design, construct, and install new Low Flow Gate and appurtenances. Replacement gate for low flow gate must be fabricated from A709 structural steel. Gate design is to be in accordance with Engineering Manuals (EMs), Engineering Regulations (ERs) and Engineer Technical Letters (ETLs) as per USACE Criteria and Industry standards, and UFGS technical specifications. Constraint: Bridge crane cannot access the cylinder and bonnet of the low flow gate during the construction. The existing cylinder of the service gate next to it may have to be removed temporarily to provide access to the cylinder of the low flow gate. This will enable removal of the existing low flow gate and lowering the new low flow gate to the lower floor level where the gate cylinders are located. A portable crane may also be required to accomplish this task.
