road and drainage improvement project. The Add Alternate adds above-ground road and sidewalk improvements. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: concrete curb replacement, full width milling (2" depth) with an asphalt overlay, drainage improvements, reconstruction of catch basins, striping, and sign replacements. The main items of construction and approximate quantities for the Base Bid include, but are not necessarily limited to: 5,700 square yards of milling (2" thick); 750 tons of HMA 9.5 M64 Surface Course, 2" thick; reconstruction of nine (9) catch basins with precast inlets and new cast iron frames, grates, and heads; installation of 700 LF of 125" HDPE perforated pipe; replacement of 1,100 linear feet of 9x18 concrete curb; replacement of 200 SY of concrete sidewalk, 4” thick NJDOT Type B Concrete; and, installation of 4 square yards of cast-iron detectable warning surfaces. The main items of construction and approximate quantities for the Add Alternate include, but are not necessarily limited to: 3,000 square yards of milling (2" thick); 400 tons of HMA 9.5 M64 Surface Course, 2” thick; reconstruction of five (5) catch basins with precast inlets and new cast iron frames, grates, and heads; replacement of 1,500 linear feet of 9x18 concrete curb; replacement of 175 SY of concrete sidewalk, 4" thick NJDOT Type B Concrete; replacement of 180 SY of concrete driveways and sidewalks, reinforced, 6" thick NJDOT Type B concrete; and, installation of 6 SY of cast-iron detectable warning surfaces.
