Summary
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), issued through the State of Michigan SIGMA Vendor Self Service (VSS), has published a Request for Information (RFI) seeking industry insights on Cyber-Physical Systems Protection Platforms capable of enhancing cybersecurity across its Operational Technology (OT) field network, including traffic signal controllers, roadside units, dynamic message signs, and similar Intelligent Transportation Systems assets. Respondents must describe a scalable architecture supporting asset inventory/discovery, vulnerability and threat management, role-based access control, automated security-event response, network segmentation, and integration with existing SIEM/Vulnerability Management tools. Responses are due July 15, 2026, and MDOT will use the information to inform any future procurement for a Cyber-Physical Systems Protection Platform; this is an RFI only and no contract will be awarded from responses to it.
