1. Furnishing and installing new copper service tubing, valves, adapters, and fittings of the necessary size required to reinstate water service to the customer in conformance with applicable state and city water code and detail a2-4683 for 2” and smaller meter settings. 2. Coordinating and scheduling of work on private property with the customer (which shall include property owners, residents, tenants, and businesses), distributing door hangers, flyers, yard signs, project signs and any other materials provided by sprws. This includes the pre-inspection, which is to be scheduled and completed by the contractor and coordinated with the full-time sprws project inspector and plumbing inspector. The sprws plumbing inspector shall be present for each pre-inspection. 3. Contractor shall reinstall existing meters. If meter is damaged or missing, contractor shall notify sprws so that it can be replaced. 4. Obtaining signed water service replacement agreement forms from property owners for all service lines to be replaced. 5. Pavement and concrete removal, including saw cutting, as required. 6. Filling meter pits, raising sewer cleanouts and finishing to a sanitary and sweepable condition. 7. Excavation, backfilling and compaction. The contractor must allow for a sprws plumbing inspector to visually witness all plumbing connections prior to backfilling. 8. Installation and/or replacement of interior plumbing and/or the reduced pressure zone (rpz) backflow preventer as determined by plumbing inspector to meet code requirements. 9. Removal and proper and legal disposal of lead or galvanized iron/steel service lines, concrete, asphalt, vegetation, clean and surplus contaminated waste. 10. Dewatering and excavation support and protection. 11. Trenchless installation, leakage testing and flushing (awwa c810-17) of new service lines and connecting to existing water meters. 12. Photographic documentation of pre- and post-construction activities. This includes, but is not limited to, photos (outside of the building from the water main to the house, inside of the building, conditions at service line penetration and at meters/valves. ) document any existing wet or leak conditions inside properties. This shall be included and submitted in an arcgis online form provided by sprws. A username and password will be provided by sprws to the contractor. 13. Televising of sanitary sewer service. 14. Final surface restoration work to restore all areas disturbed by construction to conditions equal to or better than pre-construction conditions. Miscellaneous work at the direction of the property owner and as approved by the sprws inspector or engineer including, but not limited to prv installation, drywall restoration, and relocation of meter setting under the allowance bid item.
