Summary
This project provides for the removal of the existing three span steel multi-girder bridge and replacement with a two-span continuous composite pre-stressed concrete bulb-tee beam bridge. The contract also includes the reconstruction of T-471 (East Texas Road) and T-502 (Hidden Valley Road), utility installations, drainage modifications, signing and pavement markings, and the construction of the Turnpike
median/shoulder. Work will also include the maintenance and protection of traffic. Work consists of 9,712 CY Excavation, 3,287 TON Superpave Asphalt Mixtures, Various Depths, 902 TON Subbase, No. 2A, 433 LF Drainage Pipe, Various Sizes and Types, 100 LF Guide Rail, Type 31-S, 3,931 LF Temporary Concrete Barrier/Glare Screen, 1,175 CY Cement Concrete, Various Classes, 9,930 LF Micropiles 9-5/8” Diameter, 168,460 LB Reinforcement Bars, Epoxy Coated.
