Furnishing and installing two new 500 hp high-pressure steam firetube boilers to replace the existing boilers in the heating plant, along with upgrades to the campus steam and heating distribution systems. Work includes replacement of steam distribution piping serving bicknell hall, east hall, shannon hall, and galbreath hall with new direct-buried steam piping; and replacement of existing steam manhole mh-1. The project also includes conversion of the distribution system serving oneida hall, mohawk hall, and cayuga hall from steam to direct-buried lowtemperature water (ltw) service, including installation of an ltw heat exchanger, distribution pump, and associated direct-buried ltw piping originating at galbreath hall.
This is a Total Small Business set-aside solicitation restricted to three pre-qualified Mechanical MACC contractors (Mechworks Mechanical Contractors, Inc.; North State Mechanical, Inc.; and R&W Construction Company, Inc.) to clean twenty-one HVAC air handling units in six buildings (15, 326, DD48, G770, NH180, and NH200) at Naval Medical Center aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. The work includes removal and replacement of supply fan impellers with new shafts/bearings; cleaning of cooling/heating coils, fans, filter frames, motors, condensate drain pans, dampers, and casings per NADCA ACR-2021 standards and UFGS 23 01 30.41; and ICRA 2.0 infection-control containment with temporary cooling maintained at 72–75°F/30–60% RH throughout the operational period. AHU Cleaning: Buildings 15, 326, DD48, G770, NH180 and NH200 HVAC systems contain twenty-one air handling units (AHUs), BLDG 15 AHUs 1-8, BLDG 326 AHUs 1-7, BLDG DD48 AHU-2, BLDG G770 AHU-1, BLDG NH180 AHUs 1 & 2 and BLDG NH200 AHUs 1 & 2. This scope of work requires the Contractor to perform comprehensive internal cleaning of the AHUs IAW UFGS 23 01 30.41 HVAC system cleaning. The Contractor shall clean, at a minimum, the following components: Cooling and heating coils, supply fans, return fans, filter frames, motors, condensate drain pans, dampers, duct connection canvases, internal supports, and casings. Outdoor air ductwork associated with the AHUs, including dampers, access doors, and
