Work under this contract consists of demolition, grading, and construction of new concrete paving as shown on the project plans. The Contractor shall remove and dispose of the existing concrete slabs, low wall, miscellaneous structures, and concrete pipe mount structures identified on Sheet 1 of the plans. All demolished materials shall be transported and disposed of on-site in the designated disaster city located approx. 300–360' from the project area. Following demolition, the Contractor shall grade the site to meet slope requirements as shown on Sheet 1 and prepare the subgrade for new paving. The Contractor shall construct approx. 15,000 SF of new paving consisting of 8.5" of PCC 560-C-3250 placed over 12" of processed miscellaneous base (PMB), reinforced with #4 bars EW at 18" on center, and install expansion joints at a maximum spacing of 10 feet in a grid layout.
