The owner is Seeking qualified firms for our awarded SS4A Planning & Demonstration Grant. The selected firm will provide proposals for services for the development of an action plan. The comprehensive safety action plan will identify transportation improvements focused on all users. Goals of the plan include reducing the percentage of fatalities and serious injuries and to analyze high risk areas such as the US Highway 52 corridor and SC-6 Highway corridor.

The selected consultant will provide services that may include, Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret crash data, roadway conditions, and transportation equity indicators. Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate a steering committee and conduct broad community outreach (inclusive of translation, childcare, and accessibility services). Action Plan Development: Draft and finalize a comprehensive Safety Action Plan that meets USDOT's SS4A requirements. Equity Integration: Address disadvantaged community impacts and ensure equitable investment priorities. Implementation Strategy: Provide a prioritized list of projects, programs, and policies with cost estimates and funding options. Reporting: Provide deliverables in compliance with FHWA/SS4A reporting, including baseline and final reporting requirements.
