Summary
The Contractor shall provide the necessary supplies, services, materials, and facilities to conduct the RR PIP program and to perform the engineering support and required testing defined in each task. New technologies and system designs are developed which will accomplish one or more of the following objectives: resolve service-revealed deficiencies; reduce maintenance costs; improve propulsion equipment reliability/maintainability; and, improve system efficiency and performance. Major functions the contractor shall perform include: Investigating Engineering: The contractor shall conduct engineering investigations, using contractor personnel, material, and facilities, unless specific material is provided by the government. The contractor shall perform failure analysis, data analysis, modeling, and simulations. The investigations shall relate to the RRC products including, but not limited to: PIP Program for installation, operation, maintenance, operations limits, training requirements, and documentation. A report of the results of each investigation, including conclusions and recommendations, shall be prepared. Each task shall be performed in accordance with the Program Management requirements.
