Summary
The project consists of the stabilization of an eroding shoreline on Lake Carmi through the installation of encapsulated soil lifts with a stone toe. The project is located on a U-shaped parcel maintained as common land by the Black Woods Association (BWA). The project work area is approx. 50 F long and the bank is approx. 4 F tall. The stacked, stepped stone toe will be approx. 2 F tall, and three layers of 6" encapsulated soil lifts will be installed above the stone. Large stones on the north end of the site will be reused
when constructing the stone toe. A set of infiltration steps will be installed in the north area. Approx. 16 CY of excess cut material is anticipated.
