The objective is to ensure continuous NIPRNet connectivity, commercial broadband internet where required, and dependable voice and emergency communications. Minimum NIPRNet bandwidth requirements range from 10 Mbps to 200 Mbps depending on site, with 47 of the 49 sites securely routing back to two central locations. While the current architecture uses MPLS, vendors are encouraged to propose alternative solutions, such as SD-WAN, that meet or exceed performance, security, and resiliency standards.
