Summary
The City of Thousand Oaks is soliciting proposals to operate and manage its LEED-certified Permanent Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility that serves Thousand Oaks and unincorporated Ventura County, processing roughly 13,000 carloads and over 500,000 pounds of hazardous materials annually. The selected contractor will provide full-service facility operations including staffing, transportation and disposal of collected HHW, VSQG services, support for the City's Material Reuse Program, possible operation of the City’s door-to-door collection program, and public outreach; the base period of performance runs Jan 1, 2027 through Dec 31, 2029 with an optional two-year extension through Dec 31, 2031.
