Effect of prenatal alcohol and other drug programs on faster care prevention & rapid reunification: lived experience views research project. Work under this contract is focused to learn more about the best ways to support families in which children have been prenatally exposed to substance abuse, alcohol in particular, and to learn ways of preventing them from entering foster care, or, when that is not possible, to ensure rapid, safe reunification of the family when possible. This includes all children, including Tribal members. An important but missing piece of research evidence is the perspectives of families with lived experience of the child welfare system.
