Services include provision to the OWCP FECA, BLBA and EEOICPA programs of a qualified network of medical specialists, consolidated processing of bills, prior authorization of services, and responding to inquiries related to medical services from claimants and providers. Tasks include: Managing a robust network of contracted, qualified, and appropriate medical specialists nationwide within the US, its Possessions, Territories and Trust Territories and within a reasonable commuting distance of each claimant’s residence. Timely scheduling and communication of appointments for examinations and referrals for medical file reviews. Delivery of timely, complete, and well-reasoned medical reports from examinations and medical file reviews. Compliance with applicable provisions of the Privacy Act of 1974 and the security and confidentiality of claimant medical records (and related materials) entrusted to the custody of the contractor and its employees or subcontractors.
