Summary
The goals of the Cub Creek Phase III Restoration project are to increase habitat complexity and quality for anadromous ESA-listed salmonids and resident aquatic species through the addition of large wood. Cub Creek Phase III work being implemented in 2026 is designed to increase the density of large wood within stream channels. Phase III work will include the following activities: 1. Transport logs by helicopter from 6 log decks to selected sites on Cub and Berry Creeks in the Upper Clackamas Basin 2. Logs will be placed over a 2.8-mile section of Cub Creek (RM 1.2 to 4.0) and a 1.7-mile section of Berry Creek (RM 0.3 to 2.0) for a total project area of 4.5 miles 3.
