Summary
The City of Humboldt is seeking proposals from qualified consulting firms to prepare a comprehensive Urban Forestry Strategy and Asset Management Plan. Funded through the Federation of Canadian Municipalities' Growing Canada's Community Canopies (GCCC) initiative, the project will establish a long-term framework for managing, protecting, expanding, and investing in the City's urban forest as critical municipal infrastructure. Scope includes baseline inventory and GIS/LiDAR canopy assessment, policy and development standards review, climate adaptation and risk assessment, asset management integration, community and Indigenous engagement, levels of service development, and a Five-Year Operational Plan with implementation roadmap.
