Summary
The Government of Quebec, through the Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable (MTMD), has launched a public call for tenders (appel d'offres public, June 23, 2026) to commission a feasibility (opportunity) study to assess mobility in the Saint-Georges area between 74e Rue and 107e Rue, spanning both banks of the Chaudière River. The study will analyze current and future traffic, environmental, safety, and land-use considerations, and will examine scenarios including a potential second bridge to connect the two banks. The Minister Benoit Charette and MNA Samuel Poulin announced the launch, with conclusions expected by 2029.
