Boiler Safety Testing/Inspection/services.
AvailableThe Boiler Inspections are conducted annual (estimated 4 site visits to perform inspections on all boilers) to ensure the boilers are operating safely and efficiently, while complying with most current established government standards according to the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the National Board Inspection Code (NBIC). The CJIS Central Plant Boilers provide service to Building 1 (Service Center), Building 1A (Automotive Maintenance Facility), Building 2 (Central Plant), Building 3 (CJIS Data Center), and Building 5 (CJIS Main Building). If the boilers fail to operate in these areas, critical site processes could be adversely effected, which would jeopardize the CJIS mission commitments. In an effort oto minimize down time, inspection of all on-site Boilers is estimated to require 4 site visits. Boiler inspection list shall include but not be limted to the listed items, being asked for as part of the inspection fireside surfaces, burner refractory material, manhole gaskets for leaks, test all system valves, test all safety valves, and shall include internal and external inspections of the boiler systems. If there are no issues discovered externally, the boiler will be inspected internally to ensure that all parts are working as they are designed and the course of normal wear and tear is progressing at the right rate. When parts are found to be old or outdated, replacements will be provided to the government as suggested replacement parts. See attached file.
