Project consists of sampling, testing, removal, hauling and land application of approximately 385 dry tons of liquid lagoon biosolids via surface application. The sludge to be removed is approximately 7.08% solids. The Port has DEQ-approved land application sites. Biosolids land application is authorized for the sites on a seasonal basis from June 15th through October 15th. Care must be taken to avoid wet soil conditions, so it is anticipated that the appropriate work window will be mid-July through early October. Work is anticipated for 2025.
