Summary
Phase A: The Channel Air System and Piping, Reaeration Tank Gate Replacement project includes the removal of existing channel air diffusers and Reaeration Tank sluice gates and replacement with a new diffuser system and new slide gates. The work will include connection of a new stainless steel air piping loop and isolation valves, air drop piping, diffuser tees, diffusers, air piping connections within the gallery for each diffuser tee assembly, slide gates, core drilling, all appurtenances and sealing existing penetrations. The project includes all associated coordination to maintain plant operations, bypass pumping, temporary bulkheading and channel isolation, structural supports, piping, and all other work shown, specified and required for complete systems. Phase B: The Final Settling Tank Mechanisms project includes the replacement of the existing collector drive mechanisms, bridges and sludge level indicators for Final Settling Tanks No. 3, 4 and 5,including replacement of the scum baffle and weirs for Final Settling Tank No. 3; replacement of the effluent troughs, scum baffle, and weirs for Final Settling Tanks No. 4 and 5; and replacement of light fixture and local control panel at each of the Final Settling Tanks No. 3, 4 and 5. The project includes the removal of the collector mechanisms, bridges, and sludge level indicators and other associated demolition. The project includes replacement of three (3) spiral primary sludge valves with new telescoping valves and the replacement of the three (3) Return Activated Sludge (RAS) pumps and two scum pumps located in the Aeration Gallery. Provide temporary pumping to drain sludge wells. Replace each telescoping valve sequentially within two working days each. The project includes all associated civil, architectural, structural, piping, electrical, instrumentation installations and all other work shown, specified and required for complete systems. Phase C: The Sewer Rehabilitation project includes 1675 LF of 36" Cure-In-Place sewers, a contingency to coat and cover exposed steel in the 36" sewer, installation of manhole 8-1, various manhole rehabilitations including the Southwest Authority Meter Chamber and 6-foot diameter Valve Vault manholes 1 and 2, dewatering, disposal of contaminated groundwater and soils (if encountered), bypass pumping, mobilization and demobilization of bypass pumping, post CCTV inspection of cured-in-place sewers, chemical grouting, installation of soil erosion and sedimentation control measures, and site restoration. Debris taken from the 36" sewer will be removed, hauled and disposed by the contractor.
