Summary
Scope of work: a. Off-site repair service requirements 1. The contractor shall have a permanent, principal place of business, in which the service is provided. 2. The contractor shall perform repairs including, but not limited to, engine, drivetrain, body, electrical, hvac, suspension, brakes and wheel alignments for komatsu, gradall, bomag or other roller type equipment makes. 3. The contractor shall have manufacturer certified mechanics on site. 4. At the time of bidding or prior to awarding the contract, the responsible party must have program subscriptions to diagnose and repair equipment to include the volvo penta program, or jal test. 5. The contractor shall perform both electrical and mechanical diagnostics. 6. The contractor shall perform all approved preventive and unscheduled maintenance and repair to include parts and labor. 7. The contractor shall provide original equipment manufacturer (oem) parts. 8. The city shall not be responsible for any towing charges for immediate failure, after repairs have been completed by the contractor. 9. If failures are experienced during the repair warranty period, the contractor shall cover the towing cost to return the vehicles for repair, or if the city is to pay for the tow, then the contractor shall use the city’s contracted towing company.
