Pre-Paint Preparation: Site Protection: Protect all surrounding areas, including floors, furniture (if applicable and not removed), fixtures, and other surfaces, with drop cloths, plastic sheeting, or other appropriate protective materials. Surface Cleaning: Thoroughly clean all surfaces to be painted, removing dust, dirt, grease, mildew, and any other contaminants. Specific cleaning methods will be determined based on the surface type and existing condition. Surface Preparation: Walls: Remove all pictures affixed to the walls. Scrape off any loose or flaking paint. Fill all holes, cracks, and imperfections with appropriate patching compound. Sand all patched areas smooth and blend them with the surrounding surfaces. Caulk all cracks and gaps along trim, baseboards, and corners. Primer Application: Apply a coat of primer to all surfaces to be painted. The primer type will be appropriate for the surface and the chosen topcoat paint. Primer should be tinted to closely match the topcoat color to improve coverage and hide imperfections. Masking: Mask off all areas not to be painted, including windows, doors, light fixtures, electrical outlets, and any other sensitive areas. Painting: Paint Application: Apply two (2) coats of high-quality, durable paint to all prepared surfaces. Paint shall be applied evenly and smoothly, without runs, drips, or brush marks.
