Summary
project generally consists of concrete, roadway paving / reconstruction and various types of utility improvements within the Borough. The work involved with these improvements includes the maintenance / protection of traffic; cutting /removal of existing trees, installation of new street trees; excavation of test pits for utility upgrades; installation of approx. 200 LF +/- of 12" diameter RCP Class V storm sewer pipe reaches; repair of approx. 3 +/- existing storm sewer inlet structures of various types / sizes; reconstruction and/or modification of approx. 10 +/- existing storm sewer inlet structures of various types / sizes; construction of approx. 7 +/- new Type "C" Inlet structures; removal / replacement of existing deteriorated storm sewer manhole castings including reconstruction of existing storm sewer manhole structures, where ordered; removal / disposal of existing storm sewer pipe reaches / structures to be in-active; extending of approx. 55 +/- existing roof
leader drains to new curb and existing sump pump lines / roof leader drains to storm sewer underdrain; removal of existing galvanized water services and replacement with new copper water service lines including connections to existing water service curb boxes to remain and to existing water meters located within the subject dwellings;
resetting to grade and/or realigning of existing water main / hydrant valve boxes and water service curb boxes; resetting of approx. 3 +/- existing sanitary sewer manhole castings to grade and removal / replacement of approx. 9 +/- existing deteriorated sanitary sewer manhole castings including reconstruction of existing sanitary sewer manhole structures, where ordered; removal / replacement of existing 8” gravity sanitary sewer system with approx. 50 LF ± of new 8” PVC SDR-35 pipe reach including maintenance of existing sewage flows, television inspection of removed / replaced sanitary sewer lines and removal / disposal of existing sanitary sewer lines; all connections to existing sewer lines; removal of approx. 5,000 LF +/- of
various types of existing concrete curbs; removal of approx. 12,000 SF +/- of various types of concrete sidewalks, slabs, driveways and/or aprons; construction of approx. 5,000 lineal feet +/- of new
standard Borough concrete curbs, approx. 7,000 SF +/- of new standard Borough concrete sidewalks and approx. 5,000 SF +/- of new standard Borough reinforced concrete driveways and/or aprons; furnishing / installation of cast-in-place handicapped sidewalk ramp delineation; restoration of hot mix asphalt driveways and stone driveways; cutting / removal of approx. 6,000 SY +/- of existing roadway asphalt / reinforced concrete pavement; roadway milling of approx. 3,500 SY +/- of existing asphalt pavement; installation of dense graded aggregate base course, if and where ordered; installation of approx. 1,900 tons +/- of hot mix asphalt base course material; resurfacing the entire roadway with approx. 1,300 tons +/- of hot mix asphalt surface and leveler course material; application of approx. 1,200 LF +/- of traffic pavement stripes / markings (4” wide lines); application of fire hydrant pavement markings (symbols); furnishing / installation of topsoil and sod; Right-of-Way / Property restoration; and all other preparation, restoration and associated work.
