This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) establishes broad guidelines for cooperation between the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish (NMDGF), the USDA Forest Service Southwestern Region, and the USDI Bureau of Land Management (BLM) New Mexico State Office. Its purpose is to facilitate the operation of a Statewide Public Land Management Stamp Program, known as the Habitat Stamp Program, in New Mexico. The agreement aims to reduce or eliminate threats that could lead to these species being listed under the Endangered Species Act. It outlines goals, objectives, conservation strategies, status assessments, legal authorities, governing policies, and administrative procedures. The agreement has a term of 10 years, effective from September 2018, and includes numerous signatory parties and supporting organizations dedicated to the conservation of these species and their habitats.
