Soliciting private investment in terminal development and an intermodal connection to the adjacent Long Island Railroad Station. The Opportunity consists of two options:(1) a new terminal at the north side of the Airport with a climate-controlled connection to the Station, or (2) the modernization of the existing terminal on the south side of the Airport with a dedicated connection to the Station. The Town is seeking a private entity to develop, design, finance, operate, and maintain the terminal and Station connection to benefit from the resources, knowledge, and innovation available through a public-private partnership. The Town’s goal is to create a state-of-the art terminal and Station connection that will increase passenger traffic, benefit local residents, and provide a better customer experience.

Work includes the construction for corrective action to be taken to the existing glycol treatment system. Modification 1: Replace or modify a weir structure that is used to divert stormwater to the GTS to prevent or reduce stormwater leakage and bypass of the GTS to the extent practicable. Modification 2: Modify the controls of the GTS influent pumps to limit fluctuation in pumping rate and maximize the hydraulic retention time within the gravel bed to promote biological activity. Modification 3: Install control valves on the GTS supply lines to allow more uniform flow distribution within the gravel bed.
