The project consists of two tasks: replacement of 170 LF of existing, wooden boardwalk, create 1,100 LF of new, concrete curb, gutter and sidewalk. The boardwalk replacement along front street will require earthwork beneath the existing boardwalk and the placement of control density fill with storm drainage accommodations via flow valleys and a catch basin, then covered with a new wooden planking superstructure to resemble the existing conditions. Water meters adjustments, the installation of a side sewer conduit, an ADA compliant pedestrian speed table and a roadside planter are also elements of this improvement. The boardwalk flush with front street, but is elevated along the waterward edge such that handrailing will be necessary. The hand railing is to match the existing, wooden picket railing near toby's. The main street sidewalk will be new construction, ADA compliant and connect on either end to existing sidewalk stubs. Part of the sidewalk lies on‐grade, the 60 LF approaching front street will be elevated on a concrete wall section and will also require a hand railing of the same style as on main street.
