Work will include grade the parking areas adjacent to the roadway on the north and south. The control grade for the parking area is the existing roadway, curb and speed table; remove 1 1/2" of the existing graded aggregate base (gab) and the placement of 1 1/2" of sp 12.5 asphalt pavement on the existing gravel areas adjacent to the roadway. The existing roadway will be milled 1 1/2" and 1 1/2" of sp 12. 5 asphalt pavement will be placed. The asphalt will tie into the existing curb and speed hump at the current grades. Phase I: Construction of a parking lot containing approximately 350 parking spaces. The parking lot will include sidewalks both within the parking lot and around the exterior of the parking lot, a dedicated bike lane through the parking lot, retention ponds, lighting and landscaping. Phase II: The demolition and replacement of street. The new construction will include a dedicated two-lane bike lane so bike traffic can enter and exit the Park. The construction of new sidewalks, including a sidewalk under the trestle going to MLK. The new construction will align with the parking lot and include lighting and landscaping.
