The project includes installation of: stormwater facilities in the school parking lot and school playground, curbs, swing set equipment, site furnishings, design-build irrigation, soil, and plant material.
Project goals include: Restore connectivity between Campen Creek and adjacent floodplain habitats; improve habitat for salmonids, lamprey, and other native species; reduce flood and erosion risk; improve recreation opportunities. Work generally consists of the following:Remove fish (including lamprey) from in-water work areas and transfer outside of the Site, Isolate and dewater in-water work areas, Regrade approximately 1.3 acres of floodplain, totaling approximately 1,500 cubic yards of earthwork, Install wood habitat structures using large wood provided by Owner, Fell on-site hazard trees for use as salvage wood within wood habitat structures, Remove existing pedestrian bridge and portions of existing gravel trail, Provide and install new pedestrian bridge, Construct new trail (mix of gravel and wood chip surfacing), including drainage, as required, Provide and install a new garbage can for park users; and Hydroseed disturbed areas.
