Lake County Division of Transportation seeks bids for construction of a new roundabout at Deep Lake Road and Depot Street, including street lighting, storm sewers, hot‑mix asphalt pavement, curb and gutter, traffic staging, and related work. Contractors must hold a valid IDOT Certificate of Eligibility and obtain an approved LCDOT Authorization to Bid; bids are advertised 11/20/2025 with letting on 12/09/2025 at 10:00 AM CST.
The work consists of a new bike path. The proposed improvements will also include upgrade of sidewalk corners to current ADA requirements, spot concrete curb and gutter removal and construction, and retaining walls where needed. In addition, landscaping items, tree planting, pavement patching, frame and lid adjustments, storm sewer, and pavement markings and all associated work necessary to complete the project. Bid items: 3,625 CY earth excavation; 19,884 SY of 4" topsoil, furnish and place; 410 SY of 12" agg subgrade improvement; 178 SY of 8" cl C patches; 385 LF of 12" storm sewers, cl A, ty 1; 3 Ea manholes to be adjusted; 212' of 4" thermoplastic pav marking line; 209 LF of 12" storm sewers, ty 1, water main quality pipe.
