Provide removal of the existing 50' clear span bridge structure (steel beams, precast concrete deck, on failing wooden abutments) and replacement with 66' clear span bridge structure (steel beams, precast concrete deck, on cast-in-place concrete abutments). The new bridge will have a low chord about 2' higher than the previous bridge as well, which allows for greater flood capacity. Reed Road, which is a gravel road, will be regraded within +/- 200' of the bridge to blend in this raised height. Stream restoration will be required for this project.
