The Board of Trustees received various administrative reports, including updates from the Elementary and Secondary campuses, a legislative compliance briefing, a budget update, and an enrollment and attendance report. The Board approved several items, including an interlocal agreement with Kerr County for emergency services, campus improvement plans for Elementary, Middle, and High School levels, a missed school day waiver, and revisions to several board policies. Additionally, the Board approved the 2026-2027 district calendar and the renewal of various teaching and administrative contracts for the upcoming school year.

The board convened for a special session which included an audience participation forum and the mandatory Team of 8 training led by legal counsel for the superintendent and board members. The agenda also included discussion items regarding potential closed session deliberations on personnel issues and security devices or audits, although no closed session was ultimately held.

The board meeting involved consideration and subsequent approval of an amendment to the Superintendent's Retirement Agreement for Superintendent Emeritus Cody Newcomb.

The meeting included reports on the annual investment, financial audit, and general finance updates, as well as a grant from The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country. Key actions included approving the designation of Texas Education Human Resources Day, establishing the School Health Advisory Committee for the upcoming school year, and accepting a donation from Splendora ISD. The board also authorized changes to bank signature authorities, appointed financial auditors, scheduled required Team of 8 training, and approved a probationary employment contract for a certified classroom teacher.
