The meeting focused on old and new business items including the approval of a major distribution facility for tobacco and vapor vending, several site development projects, and multiple home occupation applications. The commission approved applications for home businesses including a healing service, beauty service, lemonade stands, a blueprint studio, lawn care services, and landscape maintenance. One application for a home occupation was denied due to zoning concerns regarding the location of work performed. Additionally, the commission reviewed and approved revisions for a lot subdivision and received an update regarding the Growth Plan.

The Commission discussed several topics, including committee rule changes, the appointment of a new member to the Interlocal Solid Waste Board, and the presentation of the inaugural Lincoln County Community Report. Additionally, the Chamber of Commerce provided updates on upcoming community events such as the Music in the Park series, Stars Stripes and Hometown Nights, and an annual business expo. Finally, the Board reviewed and approved various budget amendments for the General Fund and Solid Waste Fund to ensure proper accounting and address end-of-year cleanups.

The commission held a public comment session regarding rezoning case ZR 2025-1. New business included the approval of a rezoning request for 2313 Pulaski HWY, contingent upon a soil test, and the postponement of a discussion regarding an amendment to add diesel repair shops as a special exception to A-1 zoning. Additionally, members received a reminder regarding upcoming training sessions and reviewed a public letter advocating for a county-wide burn ban.

The commission addressed several zoning and land use matters, including the approval of home occupation regulations regarding childcare and vehicle weight. Site plan approvals were granted for commercial and home-based business projects, while others were tabled due to missing information or pending requirements such as flow tests. Several subdivision proposals were also reviewed, with some being approved and others tabled pending further infrastructure assessments like fire hydrant installation.

The Commission discussed and approved several items, including the Southwind Estates major subdivision, garage setbacks for Christian Parks, a home occupation request by Daniel Eldridge, and the Grandpa's Concession application by Jack Fowler. Additionally, the commission scheduled a workshop regarding agenda item 2026-1 and reviewed officer training reports. A request for a county-wide burn ban was also briefly considered.
