The Board received a student report on recent school activities and competitions, and heard student presentations requesting approval for out-of-state travel to a national FCCLA conference. The Superintendent and district staff provided updates on current fiscal and enrollment trends, technology infrastructure and safety initiatives, and summer school program planning across the elementary, middle, and high schools. Additionally, board members volunteered for graduation diploma presentations, approved financial warrants and payroll, passed a resolution delegating authority to the WIAA, approved a personnel report, and authorized the declaration of surplus property.

The board meeting included a review of student activity highlights and the presentation of two potential student travel opportunities for upcoming school years: a Spanish language trip and a band trip to New Orleans, both coordinated through WorldStrides. The board received an enrollment update and discussed the development process, timeline, and reconciliation methods for the 2026-2027 fiscal budget, including the incorporation of artificial intelligence tools and an overview of anticipated capital and facility projects.

The board meeting included a review of school activities, sporting events, and club reports. The Superintendent recognized staff for achieving National Board Certification and highlighted the district's recent state award for educational excellence. Financial discussions covered enrollment trends, fiscal updates regarding transportation funding and state legislative session impacts on K-12 education. The board also reviewed the results of a student well-being survey and discussed the development of a district-wide employee assistance program. Additionally, the board approved personnel reports involving resignations, leaves, and new hires, authorized out-of-state travel for a student conference, and approved the purchase of a new school bus.

The meeting included reports on student accomplishments in state wrestling and academic competitions, an update on district budget and enrollment, a briefing on the current legislative session focusing on school funding, and an overview of the high school internship program. Additionally, the district celebrated receiving the National ESEA Distinguished Schools Award. The board also addressed financial matters including the approval of warrants and payroll, finalized personnel actions such as retirements and coaching appointments, approved a new learning assistance policy, and held an executive session regarding a personnel matter.

The Board conducted an onsite visit and walkthrough at Cashmere High School, which included receiving an update on the School Improvement Plan from the administrative team, classroom observations, and engagement with staff and students.
