The committee discussed recent storm damage in the southwestern part of the county, noting that the Town of Laurens has declared a state of emergency. Updates on electrical service restoration efforts were provided. Additionally, the committee approved a motion to hire a consultant at a cost not to exceed $18,250.00 to draft and implement the Otsego County EMS Comprehensive Plan as required by the state.

The public hearing was held to discuss a proposed local law establishing a new department called the Office of Assigned Counsel and designating the position of Assigned Counsel Managing Attorney as a department head pursuant to Section 35(e) of the New York State Civil Service Law.
