The Sutton Vision Implementation Plan (VIP) focuses on six key areas to improve the community: economic development, housing, youth activities, parks and recreation, daycare/before and after school care, and downtown revitalization. Economic development strategies include incentivizing businesses, supporting small businesses, and creating an entrepreneurial atmosphere. Housing initiatives focus on encouraging new construction, providing rehabilitation programs, and marketing Sutton to potential residents. Youth activities aim to retain young people in the community through programs and amenities. Parks and recreation improvements include developing a master plan and implementing prioritized projects. Daycare and before/after school care initiatives aim to address the lack of childcare options. Downtown revitalization efforts focus on improving the appearance and viability of the business district through streetscape improvements, building renovations, and attracting new businesses.
