The North Dakota Monarch Butterfly and Native Pollinator Strategy outlines voluntary actions to increase the Monarch population and further pollinator conservation in North Dakota. It focuses on habitat conservation, education and outreach, and research and monitoring. The partners will agree to provide annual updates through the year 2020 on research or monitoring and report progress on implementation and effectiveness of the conservation actions to demonstrate success of Monarch and native pollinator conservation in North Dakota.

The 2021-2025 Nonpoint Source Pollution Management Program Plan focuses on abating NPS pollution threats, restoring the integrity of waters, and implementing voluntary programs. Key goals include expanding waterbody assessments, improving water quality trends, increasing public awareness, enhancing the capacity of resource managers, and supporting the ND Nutrient Reduction Strategy. The plan prioritizes financial and technical assistance, watershed-based projects, and BMP implementation to address agricultural lands, degraded riparian areas, animal feeding operations, and failed wastewater treatment systems.
