The meeting included the introduction of a new fire department employee. The board authorized advertising for the purchase of police cars and granted a parade permit to UT Southern Cross Country. A public hearing was held regarding the rezoning of property on S. Second Street, followed by the passage of an ordinance on its second reading. The board also discussed amending the 2021-2022 Budget for the Giles County Soccer Association, a change order to the RJ Watkins contract for the Landfill Sediment Pond, and a contract with Wesley Hargrove for sludge removal at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. An ordinance amending the Beer Ordinance was tabled. Travel budgets were approved for Terry Harrison and Robert Dunnavant, Jr. for the TGFOA Spring Conference.

The meeting included discussions and actions on several key items: payments in lieu of taxes by the Pulaski Electric System, the first reading of an ordinance regarding the rezoning of property owned by Lands of Yellow Deli, LLC, amendments to contracts with the State of Tennessee regarding closure/post-closure requirements for the Sanitary Landfill and the Demolition Landfill, and a change order to the contract with Great Southern Recreation for the Pulaski Splash Pad.

The Board of Mayor and Aldermen convened to discuss several items, including approving a parade permit for the Trent Holt 5K, adopting a resolution for a Change Order to the Great Southern Recreation, LLC contract for the Splash Pad, and approving the 2022 Strategic Planning Goals. Additionally, authorization was granted to advertise for bids for the annual flowing of fire hydrants. Public Hearings and Ordinances were struck from the agenda due to advertising issues.

An ordinance was passed on second reading to amend the 2021-2022 General Government Budget for the Giles County Soccer Association. Additionally, an ordinance was passed on first reading regarding the annexation and rezoning of property located at 1936 Elkton Pike, owned by Alexander Valley, LLC, with public hearings scheduled for both. An ordinance was also passed on first reading to amend the Beer Ordinance, with a public hearing to follow.

The board discussed leasing two acres on Mines Road to Patriot Rail and authorized the Mayor and City Recorder to enter into an agreement with TLM Associates for engineering services for a sidewalk on Madison Street. The December work session and board meeting were canceled due to the Christmas holidays.
