The Grand Valley State University Board of Trustees convened to discuss the reauthorization of a charter contract for Covenant Schools Detroit. The University's Charter Schools Office completed an evaluation and assessment of the Academy's operation and performance. The University President's designee recommended the reissuance of the charter for a five-year term, beginning July 1, 2025, and ending June 30, 2030. The Board approved and reauthorized the execution of the contract, authorizing the University President or designee to execute the contract and related documents, contingent upon affirmation that all terms have been agreed upon and that the Academy can comply with all terms, conditions, and applicable laws.
