The Board of Trustees discussed and acted upon several items including the approval of wastewater and water system rate schedules, the authorization of a streetlight contract change for the Hidden Shores West Phase 5 project, and the first reading of an ordinance regarding zoning text amendments for accessory uses, accessory dwelling units, and short-term rentals. Additionally, board members discussed potential legislative bills limiting local zoning authority, requests for traffic signal installation, and received administrative updates regarding new personnel, public street parking, and the Town Center project.

The commission reviewed zoning text amendments regarding accessory uses, short-term rentals, and accessory dwelling units, adopting revisions as presented. A minor versus major determination was made for the Allendale Christian School gymnasium addition, which was categorized as minor. The commission also reviewed the Rusk Mining Site annual report and discussed text amendments for agricultural/rural zoning districts, tiny home developments, and sidewalk obstruction policies in residential developments.
