The City Council will hold a public hearing on the proposed Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Budget. The budget will raise more revenue from property taxes than last year's budget by $111,472, which is an increase of 8.12%. The public may comment in person at the public hearing or provide written comments through mail, e-mail, or fax.
The Planning & Zoning Commission meeting will include a public hearing to discuss concerns regarding a replat of J.F. Potts, 1st Addition, specifically addressing Lots 9 & 13 and Lots 10-12, Block 1, encompassing 0.809 acres. The commission will also consider and act upon the replat application.
The council meeting addressed several key action items. These included awarding bids for HVAC replacement and water well pump replacement projects under the EECBG Program. A public hearing regarding a speed limit change on FM 120 West was tabled. A zoning change request was approved, along with an update to the city's zoning map. Finally, the council accepted completion of a waterline replacement project and authorized final payment to the contractor.

A Planned Highway Development Site Plan Application for Lot 17, Block 4, Preston Ridge Addition will be reviewed. The application pertains to a site located on the south side of FM 120, approximately 1040 feet east of the intersection of St Hwy 289 and FM 120. The applicant is Triangle Engineering, LLC.
The City Manager provided updates on the Pearce Drive sewer line project, the water well project bid opening, city holiday closure, and holiday luncheon. The council accepted the 2019 City of Pottsboro Vision Plan. They authorized the application for the K9s4COPs program. Final plats were approved for the Maxine Arnold Addition and Cara's Meadow Addition. A public hearing was held to address an ordinance amending the Comprehensive Code of Ordinances regarding fire prevention, protection, and parking. A change order from November 5, 2018, was rescinded for the 2017-18 TxCDBG Sewer Improvements Project. Discussion was held on a tiny home community proposal, leading to a motion to request additional information to determine interest in revising the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance.
