The City of Auburn, IN, has a comprehensive plan designed to guide community and economic development efforts, particularly growth and physical development, for a period of 15 to 20 years. The primary objectives of Auburn 2040 are to create a unifying vision for future growth and developments, work toward improving livability by using the standards in AARP's Livable Communities Index, engage diverse segments of the population in meaningful ways, establish clear guidance for decision-makers, develop implementation strategies, and develop a user-friendly, functional document.
