The board meeting focused on several key items including amendments to regulations regarding admission fees, tuition, and other student-related service fees. Discussions and approvals were finalized for revised academic calendars for 2025 through 2028. Additionally, the board approved the appointment of a new Director for the Îles-de-la-Madeleine campus and a Coordinator for Human Resources. An organizational change was approved to add a Financial Resources Coordinator position. Finally, the board finalized the allocation of surplus funds as of June 30, 2025, for specific infrastructure projects, including network upgrades and student housing.
The board discussed and approved the 2025-2026 operating budget and the adoption of a policy regarding the prevention and management of psychological and sexual harassment. Elections were held for the vice-chair position, while other committee nominations were deferred until September. The board approved the acquisition of a pilot lyophilizer for the CCTT of Fisheries, following a public call for tenders. Additionally, information was shared regarding the strategic planning performance report, international project updates, ongoing discussions concerning the CEEC, and the accomplishments of staff at the AQPC symposium.
