Under Unfinished Business, Ordinance No. 940 was approved. New Business included the approval for the promotion of Ptlm. Clayton to Patrolman Fourth Class, effective February 5, 2026, and approvals for various park usage requests for events such as the Cherry Festival, various church services, concerts, an open market, Taste of Summer 2026, 725 Day 2026, Wine Fest 2026, Treemendous Night of Lights, and Sugar Plum Saturday 2026. Finally, the Council approved the Letter of Interest appointing Bobbi Jo Morey to the Planning Commission.

The plan aims to foster economic development, maintain historical charm, and maximize public spaces, with a 5-year implementation timeframe to ensure a thriving environment for residents and businesses.

The council discussed a proposed MOU between the Borough and Marina Authority, focusing on funding through ECGRA and the coordination of efforts between municipalities. They also considered ordinances related to dangerous structures, common nuisances, and property maintenance, along with a borrowing resolution for a tree inventory update. The council approved the 2026 MMO for both Non-Uniform and Police Pension Plans, awarded a bid for Blaine Street resurfacing, certified the Civil Service Eligibility List, and approved a conditional offer of employment for a full-time officer. Additionally, they discussed the proposed sale of 19 Smedley Street and approved a street closure for a library program.
