The committee met to initiate planning for the upcoming school year and to collaborate on strategies for improving student attendance. The meeting included a district needs assessment, identifying current strengths such as family involvement initiatives and communication platforms, as well as challenges regarding inconsistent family engagement and accessibility barriers. Participants also engaged in brainstorming sessions to develop an attendance campaign, establish incentives, and create early intervention strategies for chronic absenteeism.

The Board of Trustees held a special meeting that included recognition of the district's architectural and construction firms, as well as a public hearing regarding the budget and tax rate for the upcoming school year. The Board approved the final budget amendments for the 2024-2025 school year, adopted the Sanger ISD budget for the 2025-2026 school year, and adopted the ordinance setting the tax rate for the 2025-2026 school year.

This document outlines the Sanger Independent School District's Prekindergarten Family Engagement Plan, designed to foster a strong partnership between the school and parent community. Key strategic areas include facilitating family-to-family support, establishing a network of community resources, increasing family participation in decision-making, equipping families with tools to enhance and extend learning, developing staff skills in evidence-based family support practices, and planning activities for a smooth transition to Kindergarten. The plan emphasizes continuous evaluation and data-driven decision-making to promote family engagement and student progress.

This District of Innovation Plan aims to grant Sanger Independent School District exemptions from specific provisions of the Texas Education Code to reduce administrative burdens and foster innovation. The plan outlines eight key areas for exemption, including class size, first day of instruction, teacher certification for CTE, site-based decision-making, probationary contracts, teacher contract days, minimum attendance for class credit, removal of unwanted visitors, and the School Health Advisory Committee (SHAC). The overarching goal is to create improved student opportunities and more innovative programming, aligned with the district's mission to engage, challenge, and inspire all students to become responsible, productive citizens and lifelong learners.

The board meeting included recognitions for the Campus Employee of the Month and a spotlight on Butterfield Elementary and Sanger Middle School. Various departmental reports were presented, covering financials, utilities, operations, curriculum and instruction, human resources, safety and security, the police department's yearly report, athletics, and construction updates. A public hearing was held regarding the Texas Academic Performance Report. Additionally, the board approved a budget amendment and the addition of a Cosmetology teaching position for the upcoming school year. The Superintendent provided updates on donations and a design presentation for the new high school.
